The autumn plan consists of a number of strands now confirmed as being priorities following the planning event on the 18th May. These include:
- continued Bible Studies in a 3rd place;
- a performance of The Liberator by the Lacey Theatre Company (4th December at the Frazer Theatre);
Other things that are ‘on the drawing board’ include:
- a trip to Kielder Observatory;
- a 3rd place book club;
- establishing a working group to develop plans for a ‘café church’; and
- a further group that will undertake a town-wide ‘faith needs assessment’ so that the 3rd place programme reflects the needs of the people of Knaresborough.
Please contact us to either find out more, reserve a place or express an interest in one or more of these activities and we’ll factor you into the planning.
Bible studies in a 3rd place (or more than one) have started using material specifically designed to help people apply their faith in their 24/7 lifestyles. We are developing a ‘virtual space’ using facebook – please e-mail admin@3rdplace.org.uk if you’d like to join this facebook group and link with others across the movement.
Send us your details and we will contact you with more information.
Shakespeare with faith – On the evening of the 17th June 2008 a group attended a performance of Shakespeare’s 12th Night and had the opportunity to reflect on some of the underlying themes of the play from a faith perspective.
